Newsletter August 2010

With the Stud season over for another year, we find ourselves fast approaching foal weaning time, although with only two foals this year it will not be as noisy a time as it usually is. We will probably `do the deed` in Mid-September and then our two boys will have settled down in time for the Autumn Foal Shows.

Monty

We will be showing Pickmere Wizard of Oz , who is by Pickmere Sirocco out of a Matador mare, our other foal Pickmere Monet, by Pickmere Mistral out of Melting Sugar is going to be shown by the Capital Stud from Cumbria, John and Joan Sillitoe who run the stud, do not have a foal to show this year so will be loaning Monty (pictured).

Pickmere Prince of Ariel

Both foals are still for sale and hopefully some success at foal shows will enhance their value.
We still have a variety of youngstock for sale, including the four year old Pickmere Prince of Ariel , who although unbroken is lungeing very well on the flat and over coloured poles. We are sure he will make a genuine pony club all rounder and should mature at around 13hh. (pictured)
